last Disney pictures

These are my moms pictures of our trip. I didn't have a lot of them so I am happy to have some pictures of the fun Pirate pool and fun at the condo at night.
Ben. Papa. Ella and Siena

 Siena showing Ella her room
 Brave Nana driving with Siena
I think this is Pirates of the Carribean ride. We waited for this ride and my kids didn't really like it. We survived.

Singing to Papa for his birthday dessert. The grandkids are all hovering trying to get a taste.
Our huge pizzas. We didn't know they would be that big. These two were just for me and Dave and the kids.

 struggling to swim.

 Claire somewhat enjoyed the pool.
Ben and Siena wanted to swim every night.
 Papa's birthday!
Nana and Amy brought a little pedi set. I came out to the deck one night and they were giving Siena and Ella a pedicure. They loved it.

Kindergarten Three Piggy Opera

Siena's Kindergarten class performed the Three Piggy Opera. It was so funny. Almost the whole thing was sung obviously. It was actually the first time I saw Siena perform where she actually sung or danced. It was so cute. The kids that had actual talking lines did so well. I was really impressed with how brave they were.
Siena was a stick pedler.

Kindergarten Cookbook.

I didn't know this is something that is done in Kindergarten but apparently I did it and so did Siena, almost 30 years later. It's kind of amazing that I still have this and I don't even really know how I have it still but I thought it was pretty funny that Siena brought the same thing home today. It's our Kindergarten cookbooks. I thought it was so funny that we both had them. Some of the recipes are even the same. That's just craziness! I have even used mine. It looks like mine was a mothers day gift probably.
George Washington's Cherry Treat. Mine was George Washington Cherry Pie.
I guess we both made Pretzels in Kindergarten.
We each had a different variation of fruit Kabobs. Siena's was a fruit salad
Of course we had to have the recipe to make Play dough. Mine was even PB play dough. No one had PB allergies back then I guess.
It was really funny to go through and I am glad that I had mine to look through too. There were some fun looking snacks that we should go through this summer.  Mine is on paper that went through a typewritter I think so it's a lot harder to read than Siena's bold printed one.

Savannah

We didn't think we could handle driving back all in one day like we did when we drove down to Orlando. I convinced Dave to stop in Savannah GA on the way home. It was a perfect stop. It's 5 hours from Orlando. We got there around 2 in the afternoon and had till the next day to explore.
When looking into Savannah on Google it talks about how it is perfect for bridal parties, girls weekends and a couples weekend. That didn't describe anything we were going to do but we found some family friendly things. It was beautiful... perfect for a romantic weekend without kids.
We got there and discovered Forsyth Park. It is so beautiful and surrounding the park are where the beautiful huge houses are.
A pretty statue

These trees are so cool. Live Oaks. They make a canopy over all the streets.
When we got to the park the kids were so excited to play. Poor Siena promptly fell off the monkey bars and was sad the rest of the time at the park
.
They are smart down in Georgia. It is so hot you have to be in water to be outside so they have spray parks everywhere. Ben really enjoyed himself.
Dave found this cool Historical tour by Horse and carriage. It was so much fun. It helped the kids be happier about the whole trip. So we arrive for our carriage time and the other group that gets put with us is a bridal party. I felt so bad for them. Luckilly our kids were good. Claire was getting cranky by the end of it but there was no screaming or annoying each other. The bridal party was really nice to us and said we had good kids. Dave and I enjoyed the ride and the history of some of the houses and of Savannah.
One of the main things Savannah is known for is that the Girl scouts was started there. This is the house of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl scouts. 100 years this year!

 We survived the carriage tour.
They  had these other tours that took you from bar to bar. You would pedal your carriage with all the others in your group till you got to the next bar. I guess it was a way to work off the calories from the previous bar before you got to the next one. It was really funny looking. Dave wouldn't take a picture for me.

We got a hotel right outside of Savannah since we were there Memorial day weekend and didn't plan ahead far enough. Sunday we went down to Historical Sanvannah where they have fun boardwalk of shops. There were tons of Old fashioned candy stores. We saw taffy being made and filled up on candy for the trip home. I got my only souvenier of the trip... a big Southern hat for the beach!

 A pirate ship docked.
 Another splash park.

I wanted to drive thru Savannah and look at all the cool houses. We got so lucky. Ben and Claire both fell asleep and we gave Siena a journal to write in and she was content. We spent the next hour just driving around. It was perfect. So pretty.
Did you know that part of Forest Gump was taped in Savannah. In this square they taped the scene where Forest is waiting for the bus at the end. They took the bench away because people were stealing it and vandalizing it but this is the place it was filmed at.
Some huge multi million dollar church. We were driving by right when it was getting out. It was fun to see people dressed in their Southern summer church best. Bow ties and big hats.

 so pretty.

I am so glad we got to stay in GA. It was fabulous.
