I love our yard. I love that the kids can go and run free. I love that I can see them from inside. We finally had to go out and rake the leaves up. There were way too many. We don't actually have that many trees in our yard, but we have a whole bunch on the other side of the fence between our yard and another backyard. So when the wind blows, we get all the leaves. Dave and I spent hours raking the leaves. Dave actually mowed all of the ones on the grass up and it still took hours. I enjoyed it at first but then got really sore by the end of it. The next 2 days I was sore from all the work. It is so sad, I know. It looked really nice for all of 24 hours and then it was covered in leaves again. We made a big pile under the swings and the kids swung thru them. Atleast they are pretty. In the last year we have seen deer, fox, a turtle, snakes and rabbits in our yard. Some of these animals are a lot more fun than others to find in our yard. A mommy deer and her baby. They sat and stared at us for a long time. I don't know why I couldn't take a decent picture of it.

We went up to Hershey the beginning of November to spend some family time together.

School Thanksgiving Feast

Ben, Claire and I attended Sienas school Thanksgiving feast. It was fun to be with her for lunch. She was way excited to buy lunch and have us there. It actually was a nice lunch, Siena's teacher and teachers aide took Claire for the whole time and walked around with her. So I actually got to enjoy lunch with the older two. Siena loves school so much. I can see why she comes home with half her lunch sometimes. It seems like they don't have enough time to eat everything. We didn't even finish eating our lunch.

Thanksgiving

We had lots of fun with family over Thanksgiving. We went up to Hershey and enjoyed time with cousins and aunts and uncles and lots of good food. Finally the three baby girl cousins got to play together. It was difficult to get them all awake and happy at the same time. Here is one of the better ones. Catherine is 9 months, Claire is 8 months and Elise is 2 months.

November

We started the month of November off by getting sick. I think it just got so cold and we were still out playing that we caught colds. Claire had pink eye. It is not fun putting drops in an infants eyes 3 times a day. She hates it. We are finally starting to feel better and hope we don't have a bad flu season.
There has been a couple of nice days here and one day I finally had the energy to rake leaves. The kids loved helping but it was short lived and instead just jumped in the piles. Claire sat in the leaves and hung out for a while.
The girls I used to nanny for came and dropped off some fun clothes and a scooter! It's nice to have another one so we don't have wars over whos turn it is. Ben doesn't seem to mind tht it has princess's all over it.

Claire starting to move around more. She still crawls only on her tummy. She reaches for things in front of her and pulls herself toward them. I guess I shouldn't complain, she doesn't go very fast that way.

Ben is learning to write. He came up to me the other day and handed me a card with my name on it and his name on it. I was so impressed. I asked if Siena had done it and he said he had. I think I have to give Siena credit for it though. I never really sat down with him and showed him how to write his name. He knew the letters but I think he studied how Siena has been writing. Very smart Ben.

our fun dinner. Ben asked for mummy hot dogs again for dinner tonight. They really only ate the peaches just because I said they couldn't have any candy otherwise.

Mr potato head faces instead of carving your pumpkins. THE BEST THING EVER! the kids could do these all by themselves. it was so nice.

ready for bed

Siena was so excited, She got to bring home the class bear for the weekend. It's a little build a bear that you can dress up in different outfits and it comes home with you and you can read books to it. Then all this week is all about Siena week. We filled out all these questions about her and sent pictures of Siena to hang up in her classroom. Unfortunatley we didn't have a ton of plans this weekend, especially with the snow that came but we did take Cinnamon bear to our church's trunk o treat and we carved our pumpkins with him. We decided Friday night that since we couldn't convince anyone else to be a Tangled character this Halloween that Cinnamon bear could be Pascal. Pascal is Rupunzels chameleon friend. I had a little green fabric that we wrapped him all up in. Siena was really concerned that he would get lost so we just took pictures of him and left him with dad when we went out for treats. So I don't remember it ever snowing over Halloween since I have lived in Logan UT. It was crazy we had snow come down but it luckilly didn't stick. So they moved Trunk o treat inside the church building. It was a fun night and the kids got tons of candy to start the weekend off. Claire was even really good and kept her costume on. I think she was distracted by all the other people around. The bishop had this fun door where there was a mailbox and he stuck a puppet through to give the candy. They were giving out playdough and Ben kept putting his hand in there trying to get more playdough. The bishop didn't know it was the same person so Ben got a lot of playdough.
