clutz = good gymnast?
Siena takes after me and falls frequently. She is never hurt too badly and gets right back up and tries it again. Even when she was just learning how to walk she would fall down the stairs and then she would go and crawl up them again. She is just like me and has the bruises to show for it. Today we were at the park at the other end of our street and there is a new playground. We decided to test it out. Only later did I find out that it was for ages 5-12. So she was climbing on these uneven steps and I turned around to go and get Ben and heard a really loud scream. She really doesn't scream that loud when she is hurt she just wants cuddles and then is good. But this was a loud scream. I ran over there and there was blood all over her face. Don't worry she has all her teeth still! She bit her lip and got a bloody nose and mouth. So we are on the other end of our street with blood everywhere and I don't have anything to clean up with so I tell her we have to go home to clean her up. I think she was more upset about that then the blood. So we go home and clean her up and all she wants to do is go back to the park. We decide to drive back there and she goes straight back to the uneven steps that she had just fallen off of. This time she seemed a little more cautious. She did great! No more falls. So I have been thinking about putting her in a gymnastics class this fall just for the fact that she is a clutz and needs some guidance but she is brave and obviously doesn't mind falling. I enjoyed gymnastics when I was young, I was never very good at dance so we will see how it goes with gymnastics.

That is good that she can get right back up again. I think being kind of fearless is a necessity to do gymnastics. I attended a beginning class while in college and that was my problem, being too scared.:)
I was always too afraid to do gymnastics. But it is my favorite sport to watch in the Olympics, hands down! Hooray for Siena, being so brave!
There is a little gymastics room in the Lee RECenter-at the end of the hall by the guy. Jordan had a class and really loved it. We will probably try again this fall. She would probably love it.
I meant to say gym...it's late and I should be in bed, not reading blogs:)
