4th of July

I was so excited to have Dave home for a long weekend. I ended up not feeling great Friday morning so Dave was very good and watched the kids while I slept. We wanted to go in to D.C. and watch the fireworks but with rain pending and us just taking it easy it didn't happen. So we went in to old town alexandria to the Masonic Temple. It's way up high on a hill so we thought we would be able to see the fireworks pretty well. We couldn't. We saw half of the fireworks, the other half were covered by trees. O well. Siena didn't last too much longer once the fireworks started so I was kinda glad we didn't make the chaotic trip in to the city with millions of other people. We came home and lit some sparklers. She loved those. She thought they were big birthday candles. She held them and waved them all around. It was the best part of the day. So the day ended well. So happy birthday to our country!
