Claire

I hate playing catch up. I have forgotten so many things. hopefully I will catch up soon.

Claire is now almost 16 monhts. She finally decided that walking is cool. Her poor knees were so scratched up and the sidewalk is so hot that I think she finally just had to walk. She has been taking little steps on and off then we were at a Waterpark the other day and she got up and walked 10 steps. I really do think she just didn't want to be on the sidewalk. My friend Marcy was there. She was there when Ben took his first big series of steps too. I guess she is good luck! So now she finally gets walking. She has started carrying things around too. Ben and Siena still point it out to me every time she gets up and walks. Like it is the first time she has done it. I am happy that I don't have to worry about her doing it anymore.
She is so funny. She is so excited when she sees Siena and Ben. When she hears Dave open the door when he gets home from work she gets so excited and heads for the door. She loves to wave at everything and everybody. She is really entertaining at church. She waves to everyone!
It finally seems like she is understanding us. We tell her to do simple things like go get her shoes or it's time for bath and she will go the right place. It is so nice to have some comminication with her. If you ask her a question she will raise her hand and if you ask her where is something she will put her arms up to the side like she is asking where? She can sign all done, more and thank you. Her thank you is her blowing a kiss. I love it.
She loves loves love grapes amd blueberries. She is getting to be more picky.  She mostly is just happy to be with the big kids. She is excited to try to keep up with them more now that she walks and the older kids are pretty good to let her play for a little while.
I think this is my favorite stage.
